For many people, singing is simply a hobby. For Rose Mukuze, it has always been something more.
Music has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember and so, what began as a personal love for singing grew into a passion for helping others discover the confidence, expression and joy that music can bring.
Founded in 2021, Rose's Vocal School is built on the belief that everyone has a voice worth developing. Rose helps students of all ages and abilities grow in confidence through personalised vocal coaching, a supportive learning environment and performance opportunities.
Meet the Founder
Rose Mukuze felt a connection to music from an early age.
As a child, she loved singing and performing her favourite songs. As she grew older, that connection deepened as she discovered the power music had to help her express herself emotionally and build confidence.
Over time, she realised she didn't just enjoy performing herself, she also loved helping others discover their own voice.
That passion led her to establish Rose's Vocal School in January 2021, transforming a lifelong love of music into a business with purpose.
Today, Rose creates a fun, supportive and encouraging environment where students can develop their skills, grow in confidence and work towards their vocal goals at their own pace.
Discovering Your Voice
One of the things that makes Rose's Vocal School unique is its accessibility.
No previous singing experience required.
Students range from complete beginners taking their very first lesson to experienced singers looking to refine their technique and develop their performance skills further.
Each lesson is tailored to the individual, allowing Rose to focus on the areas where support and development are needed most.
Lessons are available both in person at her professional home studio and virtually, making vocal coaching accessible to a wider range of students.
Rose believes that confidence grows when people feel supported, encouraged and free to learn without judgement.

Creating Opportunities Beyond the Lesson
For Rose, vocal coaching is about more than improving technique.
Each year, she hosts a live showcase, giving her students the opportunity to perform in front of a real audience and celebrate their progress.
These performances create memorable experiences while helping students build confidence and develop stage presence.
The impact has been significant. Some students have gone on to receive music scholarships at private schools, while others have secured opportunities to perform on larger stages across Ashford and beyond.

When asked what advice she would give to someone thinking about starting a business, Rose's message is clear:
