Heavens Touch
Designed For Textured Hair & Sensitive Skin
What happens when you can't find the right products for your hair and skin type?
For Danielle Asaah, the answer wasn't to keep searching. It was to create them herself.
Founded in 2014, Heavens Touch began as a personal journey to expand the product offerings in the U.K. for textured hair and sensitive skin. This passion project has grown into an award-winning hair and body care brand that combines cosmetic science, education and self-care to help people better understand and care for their natural hair.
Today, Heavens Touch serves customers across Kent and beyond, offering plant-based products specifically designed for dry curls, coils and sensitive skin while helping people feel more confident in their hair.
Meet the Founder
Danielle Asaah is a cosmetic scientist, entrepreneur and educator whose business was born from personal experience.
Like many people with textured hair, Danielle struggled to find products that met her needs. Many of the products available simply didn't provide the care and nourishment her hair and sensitive skin required.
Rather than settling for products that weren't working, she began learning, researching and formulating products herself.
As she developed her knowledge and expertise, Danielle realised she could help others facing the same challenges.
What started as a desire to properly care for her own hair and skin has evolved into an award-winning, plant-based hair and body care brand designed specifically for dry curls, coils and sensitive skin.
The personal journey has become a purpose to help customers understand their hair, care for it properly and feel confident in it.
Her goal is to help customers move away from confusion and towards confidence.
Every product is formulated by Danielle herself.
Drawing on her background in cosmetic science, she carefully develops each formulation using high-quality ingredients selected for their performance, safety and effectiveness.
Building a Brand With Purpose
Danielle's vision for Heavens Touch extends beyond healthy hair.
Inspired by trailblazers such as Annie Turnbo Malone, she has built the business around the belief that education, empowerment and community matter just as much as products. Every product and customer interaction is part of that mission.
In Conversation With Danielle Asaah
Danielle's journey offers valuable lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone building something meaningful.
Building With Purpose, Not Pressure
Danielle’s key advice to someone thinking about starting a business
"Take your time to understand what you're building and why you're building it."
She believes too many entrepreneurs feel pressure to rush, compare themselves to others or chase quick wins.
Instead, she advocates for building something meaningful, creating quality products or services and trusting that growth takes time.
“Consistency will take you much further than shortcuts.”
Balancing Ambition and Everyday Life
Like many business owners, Danielle has had to learn how to balance multiple priorities.
Alongside running Heavens Touch, she also had to navigate life as a mum and a university student studying for a BSc.
Managing those competing demands hasn't always been easy.
There have been seasons where time and energy were limited, requiring her to prioritise carefully and pace herself in order to avoid burnout.
Through those experiences, she has learned that sustainable growth isn't about doing everything at once. It's about continuing to move forward, even in small steps.
Rooted in Community
Community has always been central to the growth of Heavens Touch.
Many of Danielle’s earliest customers discovered the brand through local markets and community events across Kent.
Those experiences allowed her to build relationships directly with customers, hear their stories and better understand their needs.
