Black History Month Film Screening: Everything - The Real Thing Story
Black Core Kent closes Black History Month 2026 with a special screening of Everything - The Real Thing Story at Ashford Cinema on Friday, 30 October 2026.
Directed by Simon Sheridan, The Real Thing tells the story of how the 'other four lads from Liverpool' found international stardom in the 1970s with hits including You to Me Are Everything.
Join us for an evening of film, food, music and conversation, including an introduction from director Simon Sheridan and a special In Conversation with Simon Sheridan following the film.
This acclaimed documentary has received 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, with BBC Culture calling it “a vivacious new feature documentary” and The Guardian describing it as “a charmingly recounted piece of pop history.” The Times awarded the film four stars, describing it as “an invaluable document of a different era of racial intolerance” and “a moving and necessary documentary.”
