Celebrating Black History, Culture and Community Across Ashford

This October, Black Core Kent will deliver a month-long programme of events celebrating Black history, culture, creativity and achievement across Ashford.

We will be launching with our annual headline event, followed by a series of talks, workshops, storytelling sessions and activities for young people throughout the month. We will be closing the month the way we like to close things, bringing the community together with one big celebration.

As always, our intention for Black History Month is to create space to learn, connect, and better understand the part Black history has played in shaping Ashford, Kent and Britain.

We welcome everyone of all ages and backgrounds.
