COMING OCTOBER 2026

Celebrating Black History, Culture and Community Across Ashford

This October 2026, Black Core Kent will deliver a month-long programme of events celebrating Black history, culture, creativity and achievement across Ashford.

We will launch with Black Culture: In Motion, celebrating Black enterprise and music, followed by events exploring Black culture through food, community and shared experiences. We will close the month with a special screening of Everything – The Real Thing Story at Ashford Cinema on 30 October.

As always, our intention for Black History Month is to create space to learn, connect and better understand the part Black history has played in shaping Ashford, Kent and Britain.

We welcome everyone of all ages and backgrounds.
