Black Core Kent is delighted to host an evening with Geoff Thompson MBE, the five-time World Karate Champion, author and youth advocate, for the launch of his new memoir, Big Black Bast*rd, the first book in his new trilogy.

The book launch will take place on Saturday, 28 February 2026 at the Coachworks, Ashford.

The evening will mark both a personal milestone for Geoff and a wider moment for our town, bringing together voices from across sport and fitness, culture, education and social impact, around a story that speaks honestly about identity and resilience. 

The author interview will be moderated by Neil "Razor" Ruddock, former professional footballer, followed by a book reading and signing.
